NIAF Legal Council
About the Program

The NIAF Legal Council, previously known as the NIAF Institute for International Law, works to foster a better understanding of the special challenges and unique opportunities faced by legal professionals in our increasingly international world.

By building a network of lawyers, judges and law professors, both in the United States and Italy, NIAF creates an environment that encourages a free exchange of substantive knowledge. As a result, participating legal professionals are able to share their concerns, experiences, strategies and solutions regarding common legal issues.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, NIAF Chairman Emeritus Frank J. Guarini and Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito

Participants in the NIAF Legal Council have included United States Supreme Court Justices, federal judges and prosecutors, the general counsel of major corporations and public agencies, academicians, the president of the American Bar Association and other leading figures from the legal community. Conferences, programs and events related to the Institute are held in exclusive venues in the United States and Italy.

Former FBI Director and NIAF Board Member Louis Freeh

Additionally, the NIAF Legal Council offers a combination of practical training sessions and cutting-edge programs in Italy and the United States, combining real-world advice with academic analysis and insight. These international conferences provide the best educational, informational and networking opportunities for legal professionals in both Italy and the United States.
